Cornerstone Energy Services, Inc. provides engineering, survey, and land services to the energy infrastructure marketplace. We provide a broad range of services critical to the initial phases of projects, right through completion and documentation. These services include: process, civil, mechanical and I&E engineering, project management, survey and mapping, and Right-of-Way acquisition. We have expertise and experience in both long linear projects as well as single-site facilities. Our clients are developers and operators of oil and gas pipelines and electric transmission lines.

Pat Convery, PE
# President & Chief Engineer
Pat Convery has over 34 years of engineering experience working for major system operators, project developers and engineering firms. He has served in many engineering, and project management roles and has experience in construction, inspection, operations, product development, teaching, engineering management and executive management. He has provided consulting services to operators and developers in the areas of strategic planning, project development, acquisitions, operating efficiency, facility siting (including LNG facility siting) and many other areas. Mr. Convery has led successful design and construction and commissioning of compressor and pump stations, meter & regulator stations, gas distribution systems, LNG plant facilities, LNG plant life extensions, in-line inspection facilities, major pipeline bridge attachments, CNG stations and specialty gas system installations and GIS systems for pipelines. He has trained and led teams of engineers, designers, drafters, construction forces, material managers, and other professionals in the completion of many safe, highly functional and durable energy infrastructure projects. Pat graduated from Manhattan College and holds graduate degrees from Tufts University and Harvard University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, New Mexico and Texas. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland.
Jon Perron
# Vice President
Jon Perron has over 29 years of professional experience in project management, easement acquisition, civil engineering and surveying. He started his professional career in the field supporting natural gas pipelines in phases of design, construction, as-built and rehabilitation. From there, he worked his way up to managing projects in the energy industry. Some of his responsibilities have been meeting schedule and budget requirements for FERC filings as well as various portions of federally regulated and state regulated pipeline and power line projects. Since 2001, Mr. Perron has managed a group focused on easement acquisition efforts on public and private properties for various clients. This management included coordination between the client, engineering, legal and property owners. Jon graduated from the University of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil engineering.
Steven Sawyer
# Vice President
Steven Sawyer has approximately 23 years of experience in a wide variety of surveying, mapping and pipeline engineering applications. Prior to his being part of the startup team at Cornerstone, Steven worked for over 22 years for a mid-sized engineering consulting firm. During his tenure there, Steven held positions that began as an entry level field survey technician, continued as a field survey Party Chief, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Market Sector Manager. As the leader of the Energy Infrastructure Market Sector, Steven managed large and small scale projects as well as managed administrative, staffing and financial aspects of all projects within the Energy Infrastructure group. The group comprised 50 to 75 staff members with annual revenues of eight million to fourteen million dollars, and operated from up to seven offices.
He is involved in every step of energy infrastructure projects, from the proposal process, through engineering, construction, commissioning and maintenance. Mr. Sawyer is successful in ensuring that the client's expectations of quality are met and surpassed. His responsibilities include pipeline and power line routing, field surveys, right-of-way acquisition, engineering and design efforts as well as oversight of project reporting, deliverables and cost controls.
In addition to his extensive Energy Infrastructure project experience, Mr. Sawyer is also well versed in surveying engineering techniques, equipment, and software including AM-FM/GIS software, numerous mapping platforms, GPS operating systems and adjustment packages as well as numerous field survey instruments and data collection systems.
Mr. Sawyer is a graduate of the University of Maine in Orono.
